Jack M. McFarland

Jack M. McFarland is an associate attorney at de Beer & Associates, P.A., and practices exclusively in the area of family law, including marriage dissolution, child custody and parenting time, property division, spousal maintenance, child support, orders for protection, and harassment restraining orders. Prior to joining de Beer & Associates, Jack worked at a mid-size family law firm. He also has experience in workers’ compensation defense and general civil litigation.

As an experienced family law attorney, Jack understands that the situations in which his clients find themselves can be stressful and even life-altering. He strives to be a calming, compassionate presence, offering practical and cost-efficient strategies while strongly advocating for his clients.

Jack attended the University of Kansas where he received bachelor’s degrees in political science and African and African American studies. He then moved to Minneapolis to attend the University of Minnesota Law School, where he graduated magna cum laude. During his time there, he participated in mock trial, National Moot Court, and the school’s Civil Practice Clinic as a certified student attorney, allowing him to gain real-world experience representing family law clients.

Outside of the office and courtroom, Jack enjoys KU Jayhawks basketball, Minnesota United soccer, Aurora FC soccer, and all other Minnesota sports. He is an avid cook and a (very) amateur gardener.
